The cause of love is existence. The nature of love is persistence. The end of love is more love.

Due to some recent interest in some songs I’ve written for church, I decided it would be good for me to arrange some more psalms (there is a version of Psalm 70 which I have also done).  Also, I wanted to.  I inevitably become intwined with the meaning of the text and of the melody given to me as I put them together to show to someone else.  Nothing puts the fear of God in me like a good...

Ah
And thought the day breaks and my mind still slumbers, a soft snow layers the earthless self which arrogantly collides the sky.  Assuming that friendship is a matter of proximity and not value, presuming that friendship, means, wait a second.  Breathe.  Can I hold your hand?  I think that was in a beatle’s song.  Also, it sounds like a good idea.  Somedays gravity is a reality.  Somedays.

speaking of pants
I just recently got some fancy pajama pants which have names of inventors with a diagram of something they invented next to their names.  Thank you Aunt E. and Cousin K. for showing me the beauty and comfort of pajama pants.  dunno where I would be without you guys.

wintertimes (a snowy night in iowa city)
snow snow snow. and the wander of the evening is lost on all those that forget snow snow snow. sometimes (and sometimes even then) life is slow snow snow snow. which is ok, because that’s about how fast you should drive snow snow snow. it’s cold, but it isn’t dreary, the glimmer of headlights across the plains snow snow snow.

a new dawn
perhaps newly redundant phrase.  that would be a phrase that is within and of itself needlessly repetitive. but yet today has risen.  dawn is in and of itself a new beginning.  so the newness (and any possible escape from redundancy) of the dawn would lie within the specific differences between this dawn and previous dawns.  when I took out the trash this morning my hair froze.
